Bensimon has won several awards for her bold animated short films and documentaries that she has written and directed. Her most recent achievement has been in the documentary category with political production Crossing Our Borders/Cruzando Nuestras Fronteras, narrated by Hollywood Actress Maria Conchita Alonso. The documentary received at multiple film festivals and won the award for Best Documentary at the Hoboken International Film Festival.
