Cathy Scrimshaw, Past President and Editor of the North Shore Writers Association, has been writing since she can remember. Her first novella, titled "The Secret of Rodeo Ranch," was completed in Grade 5. From there (after more schooling!) she went on to a job in a corporate training centre that involved lots and lots of writing, wrote bios for artists and did some product writing, then came full circle and is now editing her first mystery novel while also working on a memoir. Since her novel is a mystery that takes place in a mountain town, shes not so sure how far shes really come from "The Secret of Rodeo Ranch", but shes sure enjoying the ride! Here, she talks with host Sonia Nadina Haynes about writing in general and the benefits of being part of a writers group. www.nswriters.org
