Chittum was a rifleman in the United States Army in Vietnam in 1965 and 1966, later a rifleman in the Rhodesian Territorials in the early Seventies, and later a rifleman in the Croatian Army in 1991 and 1992. He was a computer programmer for much of his adult life. He is now a writer and lives in rural New Jersey. Tom discusses the theories of Sir Halford McKinder, who laid out a theory in the early 1900s of how the world would eventually be conquered, a plan which has been followed in detail up to this day.
